The boot was signed in Madrid on 14 March 2025 during a private signing session. Modrić has won an extraordinary 28 major trophies with Real Madrid, including six UEFA Champions League titles and multiple La Liga championships, establishing himself as one of the club’s greatest midfielders of all time.

At international level, he captained the Croatia national football team to the final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where he was awarded the Golden Ball as the tournament’s best player. He later helped Croatia secure third place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Across his career, Modrić has also been named Croatian Footballer of the Year a record thirteen times between 2007 and 2024.
