At Iconic Shirts, every signed item comes with an official Iconic Shirts Certificate of Authenticity (COA). Each certificate features a unique certificate number linked to the item and can be verified through our online Certificate Verification database.
This allows you to check the information registered for your signed item and provides a permanent record of its authenticity.
Working Only With Trusted Partners
Whether an item comes from one of our own signing sessions, a trusted signing partner, a reputable memorabilia supplier or another verified source, it receives an Iconic Shirts Certificate of Authenticity before being sold through our store.
Before an item is offered for sale, we review its provenance and the available supporting evidence.
Depending on the item, this evidence may include:
- Photographs or videos of the signing
- Date and location of the signing
- Information about the signing session
- Original supplier documentation
- Third-party authentication
- Additional certificates, holograms or serial numbers
The type of evidence available can differ between items. Where relevant, additional authentication or signing information is clearly stated on the individual product page.
Our Own Signing Sessions
We regularly source memorabilia directly through signing opportunities and private signing sessions.
For items signed during these sessions, we can document the circumstances of the signing ourselves. The Iconic Shirts Certificate of Authenticity can include details such as the player, signing date and location, while photographic or video evidence is provided where available.
These signing sessions allow us to offer collectors memorabilia with a clear and documented history from the moment the signature is obtained.
How Iconic Shirts Certificate Verification Works
Verifying your Iconic Shirts certificate is simple.
Each COA has its own unique certificate number. Enter this number into our online Certificate Verification database to access the information registered for your item.
Depending on the item, the verification record may contain details such as the player, shirt, signing information and other relevant authentication information.
If an item also carries separate third-party authentication, this may have its own verification method in addition to the Iconic Shirts certificate.

Why Provenance Matters
A certificate is important, but authenticity is about more than the certificate itself.
