EARLY YEARS AND FOUNDATION
Founded in 1878 as Newton Heath LYR, the club was renamed Manchester United in 1902. They moved to Old Trafford in 1910, a stadium that would become iconic worldwide. THE BUSBY BABES AND MUNICH
Under Sir Matt Busby, United developed a team of exciting young talents known as the Busby Babes. In 1958, tragedy struck when a plane crash in Munich claimed the lives of eight players and staff members. The event devastated the club, but also inspired a remarkable rebuilding process. A decade later, in 1968, United became the first English team to win the European Cup, led by legends like George Best, Bobby Charlton and Denis Law.

THE FERGUSON ERA – DOMINANCE AND DYNASTY
When Sir Alex Ferguson took charge in 1986, few could predict the dynasty that would follow. Between 1992 and 2013, United won 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups and two Champions League trophies. The famous treble of 1998/99 – Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League in the same season – remains one of football’s greatest achievements. Stars like Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Eric Cantona, David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney became global icons in the red shirt.
